The orange-and-blue façade, the ocean-themed stairwell, the private balcony in every room — one walkthrough, top to bottom.
Sheltered indoor space for 6–7 big motorcycles (plus 6 cars nearby). Hengchun is a natural stop on the round-island route — your bike stays out of sun and rain.
A 1-min walk to the Sunday Night Market, 3 min to the "Cape No. 7" house, 5 min to PX Mart and 6 min to Hengchun Market for breakfast — no driving needed to eat and stroll. About 4 km to Nanwan, 9 km to Kenting Main Street.
For single-room stays owner Ms. Chu is on the ground floor and comes out the moment you park ("feels like home" is not just a slogan); when family or friends book the whole house, the owner moves out — four floors, 6 rooms, living room to terrace, all yours, undisturbed.
A licensed Pingtung B&B (License No. 0588) — civil-servant Taiwan Travel Card welcome.
A free washing machine and spin dryer — handy for round-island trips, longer stays and family travel; plus laundry service, luggage storage and bicycle rental.
Whole-house bookings unlock the lot: an 85" 4K smart TV with touchscreen karaoke and high-end audio, a roller-coaster-style automatic mahjong table, a Sanre smokeless gas grill and a big kids' splash pool — built for a group going from afternoon into the small hours.
All 6 rooms can be booked individually — a couple's two-day Kenting trip, a family with kids, a group of friends, a student graduation trip: pick a room by party size. Every room has its own balcony and cross-ventilation on two sides (corner-lot advantage); quad rooms feature a corner soaking tub with bath toys, great for families. During your stay owner Ms. Chu is on the ground floor and welcomes you in person — there's always someone around if you need anything.
Book all 6 rooms across four floors — up to 16 guests (extra beds to 20). Family trips, company retreats, student groups, motorcycle clubs: the living room, an 85" 4K smart TV with touchscreen karaoke and high-end audio, a roller-coaster-style mahjong table, a Sanre smokeless grill, a big kids' splash pool and a wide 2F terrace let a whole group play together undisturbed. For whole-house bookings the owner moves out — all four floors and 6 rooms, living room to terrace, are yours, with no other guests around.
The 2nd and 3rd floors each have one quad and one double; the 4th floor has two doubles — 4 doubles + 2 quads in all, matching the 16-guest whole-house capacity. Every room has its own balcony.
Warm gold-orange walls under turquoise ceilings, cream sofas, a stairwell with blue-and-white wave patterns, a karaoke machine and an automatic mahjong table — this is what "feels like home" looks like.
Hengchun Old City, the "Cape No. 7" house and Hengchun Night Market are within walking distance; Nanwan, Kenting Main Street, Houbihu, Longpan and the Guanshan sunset are all a short drive away.
The home of Aga from the hit film 'Cape No. 7' — a must-visit Hengchun photo spot, just a 3-minute walk from the inn.
The Sunday Night Market is just a 1-minute walk from the inn — a local-flavoured market with mung-bean dessert, fried snacks, braised bites and more. Hengchun specialties and drink shops (Macu, 50 Lan, ~6-min walk) line the old street. No driving needed; just walk and graze.
The most popular crescent beach — clear water, steady waves, and a full lineup of snorkeling, surfing, SUP and banana boats. The top summer water spot.
Kenting's liveliest strip — restaurants, bars, market stalls and souvenir shops back to back, lit up after dark. The place to feel Kenting's night scene.
Taiwan's most sweeping grassland-and-cliff landscape — gaze over the Pacific from the edge, and at night a famously dark sky for stargazing.
Ranked among the world's great sunset viewpoints — at dusk the sky and the Taiwan Strait blaze orange together. The classic Hengchun-peninsula sunset.
I'm Ms. Chu, a Hengchun local, and I've run Happiness Space Inn since May 2010.
I started this guesthouse because I love the feeling of friends gathering together — and I want every guest to feel the warmth, comfort and cleanliness of the place, because that's exactly what we look for in a stay ourselves.
Down here at Taiwan's southern tip, slow your steps and leave the schedule a little blank. See you in the south. 🌴
