A triangular-lot end unit, 8 m wide, with a balcony in every room. Ocean-world details run through the whole building and the living room glows in warm gold-orange — "feels like home", and a slow kind of happy. For single-room stays owner Ms. Chu is on the ground floor and hosts you in person; when family or friends book the whole house, the owner moves out — the whole place is yours.

Our Story

Happiness Space Inn has been open since May 2010, run all along by Ms. Chu, a Hengchun local.

Out of a stubborn love for the guesthouse dream, Ms. Chu poured over ten million NT dollars into renovating this orange-and-blue four-storey corner villa — a triangular-lot end unit, 8 m wide, with every room offering its own balcony and cross-ventilation on two sides.

Ocean-world details run through the whole building: blue-and-white wave patterns up the stairwell, shell ornaments, twin-fish hooks, a king penguin, and the showstopper — a real pufferfish-specimen skylight lamp. The living room glows in warm gold-orange with the owner's family photos on the wall.

It sits right beside the Hengchun Old Post Office, in the heart of the old town: a 1-min walk to the Sunday Night Market, 3 min to the "Cape No. 7" house, 5 min to PX Mart, and 6 min to Hengchun Market for breakfast. About 4 km to Nanwan Beach, 9 km to Kenting Main Street, 8 km to Houbihu, 12 km to the National Museum of Marine Biology & Aquarium, and 16 km to Sichongxi Hot Springs.

A two-person getaway, a family slow-holiday

All 6 rooms can be booked individually — a couple's two-day Kenting trip, a family with kids, a group of friends, a student graduation trip: pick a room by party size. Every room has its own balcony and cross-ventilation on two sides (corner-lot advantage); quad rooms feature a corner soaking tub with bath toys, great for families. During your stay owner Ms. Chu is on the ground floor and welcomes you in person — there's always someone around if you need anything.

Book all 6 rooms across four floors — up to 16 guests (extra beds to 20). Family trips, company retreats, student groups, motorcycle clubs: the living room, an 85" 4K smart TV with touchscreen karaoke and high-end audio, a roller-coaster-style mahjong table, a Sanre smokeless grill, a big kids' splash pool and a wide 2F terrace let a whole group play together undisturbed. For whole-house bookings the owner moves out — all four floors and 6 rooms, living room to terrace, are yours, with no other guests around.

The ground-floor living room, 85" KTV, mahjong table, smokeless grill and kids' splash pool belong to the owner's "premium whole-house package" — yours in full when you book the whole place. For single-room stays the owner lives on the ground floor and these spaces are not open to guests.

A Note from the Owner

I'm Ms. Chu, a Hengchun local, and I've run Happiness Space Inn since May 2010.

I started this guesthouse because I love the feeling of friends gathering together — and I want every guest to feel the warmth, comfort and cleanliness of the place, because that's exactly what we look for in a stay ourselves.
